Mass Effect 3 Demo at PAX 2011 Followed by New Gameplay

PAX 2011 ended and so did your chance to demo Mass Effect 3 before the end of the year. It's fine, even if you didn't make it out, you will see lots of updates, news and many more for Mass Effect 3 and its PC, PS3 and Xbox 360! Mass Effect will release on March 6, 2012!

God of War: Origins Collection

With God of War: Origins Collection Sony has taken the two portable games in the series (God of War: Chains of Olympus & God of War: Ghost of Sparta) and collected them on one action-packed Blu-Ray disc boosted by HD graphics and 3D support.

I feel as though the God of War: Origins Collection should be retitled God of War: Family Ties because you get to learn more about Kratos’ family and past here than in any other game from the series.

The gameplay in all God of War games is sublime, and there is no difference here. The capable folks at Ready At Dawn (they also developed the fantastic PSP game Daxter) have shown plenty of respect for Sony Santa Monica’s cash-cow. They know what they’re doing, and you’ll love it despite still completing various quick-time finishers and collecting gorgon eyes and phoenix feathers.

Chains of Olympus looks much better and is similar to the HD version of God of War II. The game was released last year and it shows just how far Ready At Dawn has come with the power of the PSP. In this case I expect you came here for the story and gameplay, not the graphics.

EA blocks the use of Porsche in Forza Motorsport 4

While this news has been out for a few days now (sorry for the delay!), I’d just like to inform those of you who didn’t hear about it yet: Forza Motorsport 4 will not feature Porsche cars because EA, who has an exclusive licensing agreement with Porsche, refuses to sub-license the Porsche brand.

Xbox Finally Joins PS3 with New 3D Update

The latest Xbox 360 update which will be available via the latest batch of games and most likely via Xbox Live in the coming days finally places the Xbox 360 on an even keel with the PS3.

The new update allows users to enabled 3D for use with 3D TV sets. The text reads "Enable 3D to use stereoscopic 3D in games and experiences that support it. The option also has a setting which will detect TV size and also allow users to input the size manually.
The PS3 has had these options for quite some time via one of its updates but is good news that the Xbox 360 finally recognizes 3D games; especially in light of the announcement of 3D support for Gears of War 3, Batman Arkham City and Halo CE: Anniversary. What's interesting is the use of the words "games and experiences", could this mean Xbox 360 will be getting 3D movies from SKY and Netflicks in the near future?

Beta DotA 2 In Three Weeks!

DotA fans may get themselves a copy of the Beta version of the upcoming DotA 2 in three weeks time, according to Valve’s top man.
Speaking to GAMEKULT, Gabe Newell who is acting as the managing director of Valve has gave his insight to the development of DotA 2 as well it’s business model surrounding it. When asked about the details of DotA 2 future beta, here’s what he has to say;
“I’d say it will start within three weeks. We still have few elements we wish to modify following up the feedback from the tournament, and then we will launch it while we’re at it.” said Newell.
If that is correct, we probably will see the upcoming beta in mid-September along with the release of Portal 2 DLC which is also published by Valve.
In a recent competition held by Valve to showcase a first look to DotA 2, team “Na’Vi” from Ukraine has been crowned as the champion and bring home it’s top prize, $1 million.

The following restrictions are placed on all Starter Edition Accounts:
- A level cap of 20.
- A maximum of 10 gold.
- Trade skills are capped at 100 ranks.
- Unable to trade via the Auction House, mailbox, or player-to-player.
- In-game access to public chat channels unavailable. Players are limited to communicating using only say, party, or whisper.
- Characters will be unable to create or join guilds.
- Characters are not able to send whispers to other characters unless they have been added to the characters' friends lists or have received a whisper from a character first.
- Characters will not be able to invite other players into a party.
- Characters will not be able to join parties with other characters above level 20.
- Voice chat disabled on Starter Edition accounts.
- Realms experiencing login queues will prioritize players who have full, paid accounts.
- Starter Edition accounts are not eligible for character transfers
- RealID features are disabled on all Starter Edition Accounts.

New MMO from Blizzard on 2013

The Chinese Blizzard boss is fired and he announced that a new MMO from Blizzard will come out end 2013 called ''Titan''. Two more WoW expansion will come out (summer 2012 and end 2013). Diablo 3 will come out end 2011. Starcraft 2 Hearth of the Swarm will come out end 2011. The next Starcraft 2 expansion will come out spring 2013. Two more Diablo 3 expansions will come out somewhere in 2013 and 2014. And the WoW Movie will come out end 2012.
