Star Wars: The Old Republic cost $200 million to develop

Star Wars: The Old Republic got released on December and got 1 million users quickly! Today, they revealed that the game's budget was massive, too.

According to the Times, The Old Republic cost $200 million to develop. They report that the game was created over the span of six years by 800 developers on four continents.


EA said in February that The Old Republic would become profitable with only 500,000 subscribers. It looks like, they got more than that! 2 million units sold!

They expect to have at least 80 percent of purchasers to stay active.
